Can I Replace An Ignition Switch Myself?

How to Replace the Ignition Switch key?
1. Remove the plastic cover
There are 5 Phillips screws at the bottom, just unscrew them. One thing to note is that the cover is divided into upper and lower parts, and the right side of the lower part is set on the ignition switch, which can only be taken off after it is disengaged.
2. Remove the ignition switch
This is a hexagon socket screw, and a hexagon screwdriver is required. The screw eyes can be seen from the top of the light pole and the wiper pole, one on the left and one on the left. If you only need to change the lock cylinder, you don’t need to remove the ignition switch, but if you don’t dismantle it, you have to pay attention when installing the lock cylinder, otherwise, the lock cylinder will not go in.
3. Unplug the ignition switch plug
There is a clip on the plug, pay attention to disengage it first.
4. Disengage the lock cylinder
The lock cylinder cannot be unscrewed or pulled out because there is a mechanism in it. Turn the key to the "B" position and pull it out.
