Precautions for Hydraulic Pump Installation
A hydraulic pump is a hydraulic component that provides pressurized liquid for hydraulic transmission and is a type of pump. Although the structure of different types of hydraulic pumps is quite different, there are many similarities in installation, use and maintenance. If the operation is not standardized, failures may occur. Here MyMROmarts will share with you the installation precautions for hydraulic pumps.
Precautions for hydraulic pump installation
Although the structure of hydraulic pumps is different, there are many similarities in installation and use. Exact installation instructions will depend on your engine model, but here are some precautions to get you started:
- Ensure that the hydraulic oil is clean
The hydraulic oil directly enters the hydraulic pump. If there are impurities in the hydraulic oil, it will wear the plunger, the distribution plate and other structures, causing damage to the hydraulic pump, and even make the hydraulic pump scrap! Therefore, the hydraulic oil filter element must use a high-quality filter element. Generally, the greater the density of the filter screen, the better the quality of the filter element! - It is forbidden to start directly without hydraulic oil
After the new pump is installed, it is strictly forbidden to start it directly without hydraulic oil. It is necessary to add hydraulic oil to the oil return pipe, and the oil return pipe cannot be blocked, otherwise the pressure of the return oil of the hydraulic pump is too high, which will damage the hydraulic pump!
- Pay attention to the discovery of abnormal phenomena at any time
There must be a reason for abnormal sound, vibration, or abnormal signal of the monitoring system. Once an abnormal phenomenon is found, immediately carefully observe whether the abnormal phenomenon is caused by a temporary error. Assess the need for parking. Load, temperature, time, start-up and stop-time all include possible causes of abnormal phenomena. Usually, it should be analyzed and discussed one by one.
- Do not add load immediately after the hydraulic pump starts
After the hydraulic pump is started, it must be idling without load for a period of time (about 10 minutes to 30 minutes), especially when the temperature is very low, it must go through the warm-up process to make the hydraulic circuit circulate normally before applying load and confirm the operating status.
- Observe oil temperature changes
Pay attention to checking the change of the highest and lowest oil temperature, and find out the relationship between the oil temperature and the external environment temperature, so as to know whether the capacity of the cooler and the capacity of the oil storage tank are compatible with the surrounding conditions and operating conditions, so as to better troubleshoot the cooling system problem.
- Pay attention to the noise of the hydraulic pump
New hydraulic pumps have less initial wear and are easily affected by air bubbles and dust. Poor lubrication at high temperatures or overloaded conditions of use will cause adverse consequences and cause abnormal effects on the hydraulic pump.
- Pay attention to checking the display value of the hydraulic circuit
Observe the pressure gauge display value of the hydraulic circuit, the pressure switch light and other vibration conditions and stability at any time, so as to find out whether the hydraulic circuit is functioning normally as soon as possible.
- Pay attention to observing the action of the machine (for refitted pumps)
Improper hydraulic circuit design or poorly manufactured components are not easy to find at the initial stage of use, so special attention should be paid to the action states that appear under various operating conditions.
- Pay attention to the adjustment in each valve
Fully understand the use of pressure control valves, flow control valves and directional control valves, and pay special attention to the adjustment ranges and limits, otherwise adjustment errors will not only damage the hydraulic pump, but also pose a threat to safety.
- Check the status of the filter
The filter in the circuit should be taken out and cleaned regularly, and the state of the filter screen and the dirt adsorbed on the network should be checked to analyze the quality, quantity and size. In this way, the degree of pollution in the circuit can be observed, and the source of the pollution can be deduced accordingly.
- Regularly check the change of hydraulic oil
Check and analyze the deterioration, discoloration and pollution of hydraulic oil every one or two months to ensure the normality of the hydraulic transmission medium.
- Pay attention to the leakage of the piping part
Whether the piping of the hydraulic device is good or not can be seen after a period of operation. Check whether there is oil leakage and whether the piping is loose.
- Pay attention to the operation status of the new machine within three months of operation
During the operation period of the new machine, you should check the operating conditions, such as the maintenance of the machine parts, whether the screws are loose, whether the oil temperature rises abnormally, whether the hydraulic oil deteriorates quickly, and whether the operating conditions meet the regulations, etc.
